Mud Vein is a go-to re-read for me. Each time it hits me harder than the last. Everything about this story pulls me in, slowly at first and then all-consuming.

The words hold me hostage and there isn’t one emotion it fails to evoke, I am left feeling nostalgic. Senna’s story is heartrending, tragic, dark, beautiful and twisted.

Tarryn’s writing is brave, bold and honest. She always writes her truths within her characters and this is why so many of us resonate with her and her books.

If you want to step outside your comfort zone and read something, which isn’t bracketed into a conventional genre, prepare for your heart to break, this is the book for you.
