I was absolutely enthralled by Verity. And I didn’t even need to read the synopsis. I mean why would I? Not when it’s by an author I already love. But also not her usual genre. I knew I was going to one click. And I’m so bloody glad I did.
If I wasn’t aware she’d written this book I would have thought it was written by Tarryn Fisher.
Verity is like the love child of Colleen and Tarryn!
Have you read Mud Vein or The Ghost Writer? Did you love them? Then why are you even reading my waffle? Go one click this book now, now, now!
If the dedication didn’t have me invested from the get-go, page one certainly did.
There isn’t anything I can say, someone else who loved this book hasn’t already said. But I will say this, there is nothing more powerful than words of a prolific writer, who not only writes in a way that captivates you but who also has the gift and art of storytelling.
I was so caught in her word web, I almost missed my tube station numerous times, I did not want to put this book down.
Most definitely re-read worthy. Bravo CoHo.
This just goes to show, writers, don’t have to be typecast into a single genre.
An absolute brain twister and must read!
The words should come directly from the center of the gut, tearing through flesh and bone as they break free. Ugly and honest and bloody and a little bit terrifying, but completely exposed.
